Sunny Street Poetry Anthology 1 includes a selection of poems for First Class. The poems were chosen as a means of exposing children to a wide variety of poetry. The selection includes nature poems, humorous poems, rhyming poems, non-rhyming poems, poems by a variety of poets, and poems that develop a sense of rhythm and syllabification.

Some extra features of the Anthology:

• Some pages are provided for the children to write a favourite poem they have chosen to include in their individual anthology.
